Mission Statement : At Safe Solutions Pet Sitters, our only thought is how to make your pet feel as comfortable in their own home as possible. It's not enough just to let your pet be at home. If they don't feel comfortable, they might as well be at a kennel. I love to study animal behavior and I read about the subject as often as I can get my hands on the subject. When we're with an animal, we take their lead, and let them show us what seems comfortable to them. We are guests in an animal's domain but need to know when to be assertive as well. When we get to know each other, two things will happen. 1) We have been able to position ourselves as the leader and 2) Keep the animal (pack) or family in a calm and normal rhythm. We believe in only positive reinforcement, never negative. Negative actions only frighten and confuse an animal.
We are not only there to be a provider of food and water. We are there as a source of physical stimulation in the form of play and exercise, and we're there as a source of emotional stimulation as well. In other words, it is our goal a Safe Solutions Pet Sitters to provide your animal with a substitute who, will treat them with love and respect. We can't be you… but we can try to be consistent in our approach.
